SMA Mineral needed a storage facility after their silo where they normally stored limestone in could not be used as a result of a fire in the factory. The solution was two fabric structures that measure 30x40x7 metres (WxLxH) that provide 1,200m² storage facility each. Read the interview with Viktor Nilsson, Project Engineer at SMA Mineral

Can you explain the background for your project?

A large part of our facility burned down during the summer and we were forced to find an alternative way to store our product before further processing. We mill lime and the limestone must be dry before it is milled and stored protected from the weather. We needed to find an alternative storage solution that could quickly be delivered to our facility.

Why did you chose a storage tent as a solution?

The short planning and building time and the fact that they hold large volumes was decisive.

The price and the impression you made. We have had several other suppliers involved before we chose you in this project.

How has communication with us worked?

It has worked great. You have a clear organisational distribution where each person has their specialist area.

The installers did a great job. Fast, good looking and I saw no problems at all.
